This work presents the study of the family Balanophoraceae of the states of Goiás and Tocantins (Brazil), with citations of specimens collected in the Distrito Federal and contiguous states. For the realization of this work, about 250 specimens were examined from national and international herbaria. According to this study, the family is represented in Goiás and Tocantins by five genera and six species. In this work are presented the keys for the identification of genera and species, illustrations, distribution map of all species, index of common names, and index of scientific names.
