Application des algorithmes "Contact Dynamics" aux milieux granulaires

Contact Dynamics " is a numerical approach to the dynamics of collections of bodies, here assumed rigid, taking into account the unilateral character of non-interpenetrability constraints, dry friction in the event of contact and certain restitution laws in the event of collision. After explaining the principle, one shows its application to the building of a grain pile and the statics of the granular material inside, questions which currently are the subject of active research.

" Contact Dynamics " est une approche numérique de la dynamique de collections de corps, supposés ici rigides, prenant en compte le caractère unilatéral des liaisons d'impénétrabilité, le frottement sec en cas de contact et certaines lois de restitution en cas de collision. On en explique le principe et on montre son application à un sujet actuellement très discuté, la construction et la statique d'un tas de grains.
