Direct simulation Monte Carlo of light scattering by rounded cubes

Résumé

A Monte Carlo model for direct simulation of polarization at single light scattering by rounded cubes is proposed. Particle orientation is assumed to be randomly in space. Modelling is done in geometric optics approximation. The computer model is applied for investigation of the influence of the shape and the refractive index of the scattering particles on the polarization phase function. The obtained numerical results may be used for identification of the scattering particles with respect to the shape as well as to its refractive index.
