The entire recirculation bubble is found to be asensitive region for the global frequency selection and the quality of the synchronization. A strikingposition is found at its center where synchronization is destroyed and the frequency is increased.High speed particle image velocimetry sheds some light into the underlying mechanisms, which areinterpreted in terms of vorticity interaction, flow reattachment, and flow deviation. Strong meanflow modifications are observed to correspond to drastic changes in drag and its fluctuations %G English %2 https://hal-ensta-paris.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-01289971/document %2 https://hal-ensta-paris.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-01289971/file/VPOC.pdf %L hal-01289971 %U https://hal-ensta-paris.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-01289971 %~ ENSTA %~ ENSTA_UME %~ ANR
