, the median value of TD 1 for mixed-mode ICC pulses is about a factor of 2 smaller than for either classical M-component pulses or M-component-type ICC pulses, possibly suggesting a higher typical junction point for the latter two types of pulses. M-component-type ICC pulses combined with classical M-component pulses are characterized by RTs ranging from 6.3 to 430 ?s, while return-stroke pulses and mixed-mode ICC pulses have current RTs ranging from 0.5 to 28 ?s. Finally, our data suggest that the 8-?s threshold for the current RT proposed by Flache et al. (2008) can be used to distinguish between return strokes and classical M-components. However, mixed-mode ICC pulses can sometimes have RTs longer than 8 ?s
